Safaris in Uganda (What to do).
Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking safaris.
Meeting your cousins in their natural habitat is for a once in a lifetime adventure. Mountain Gorillas are an endangered primate species, found in the tropical rain forest of the Virunga chain of mountains. They can only be found on the continent of Africa, where they live as a family, feeding on vegetation’s, and insects. Gorilla trekking takes place in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi impenetrable national park in the southwestern part of the country.
Gorilla trekking permit is for persons aged fifteen years and above and it costs 800$ for foreign nonresidents, and 700$ for foreign residents. East African citizens do pay 300,000ugx. Chimpanzee trekking takes place in Kibale forest national park, Budongo forest, and chambura gorge. The trekking session takes place in the morning hours and in the afternoon session from 1400hours.
Wildlife safaris
