Safari overview.
This 10 days safari reconnects you to mother nature. Uganda is a beautiful landlocked country in the east of continent of Africa, surrounded by Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, Kenya and Burundi. Each destination tells a story, though are all in the southwestern part of Uganda. Visit our cousins the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park; chimpanzees in Kibale forest national park, and different animals, birds and flora in the largest and second largest national park in Uganda.
You will uncover the rulers of wilderness; lions and mountain gorillas. The driver guide will pick you up In Kampala and for nine days, tell facts of Uganda’s uniqueness and beauty in nature. The safari ends in Entebbe International Airport or any other destinations of your choice.
Detailed Safari.
Day 1: Arrival and undertake a city tour
Today, you will arrive at Entebbe international airport where our company driver guide will meet and transfer you to the hotel for check-in and refreshment. If the time is early, a Kampala city tour will be arranged for you to uncover the life of Kampala city dwellers, do some shopping and also have to visit some of the cultural and religious sites around the city such as Gadhafi Mosque, Amin’s torture chambers and Kasubi tombs. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and a night stay.
Day 2: Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison Falls NP. Top of the falls visit.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the largest and oldest national park in the country, with a one-hour stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will track the sought-after members of the of big 5 mammals in Africa.

These are the rhinos which you will track for I hour and then proceed to Masindi town for lunch. From Masindi, our next stop is at the lodge for check-in, relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise.
Kick-start your day with a delicious breakfast meal at the lodge. Afterword, go for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive in the northern part of the park, looking out for the prey and predators in the wild such as the lions, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, different antelope species. The ranger guide will also help you identify different vegetation species such as the whistling acacia; birds such as African eagle; some primates like the baboons, vast river Nile and eye-catching open landscape.

After game drive, lunch break follows and boat cruise to the bottom of the world’s most powerful waterfalls – Murchison falls. The two hours in the calm waters is marked with the views of the open skies, the hippos, Nile crocodiles, the swamp; and the thundering waterfall squeezing through a 7-meter gorge to River Nile. Take photos and watch, and the ranger guide helps you hike to the top of the falls. End this day with dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park.
After a memorable tour of Murchison Falls National Park, you will have a sunrise breakfast meal, and depart to the Africa’s primate capital. The journey to Kibale forest national park is a 7-8 hour journey, with the view of lush plantations, and a stopover for lunch. You will arrive at the lodge in the evening for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
Wakeup strong and well refreshed for a hike to your cousins in their natural habitat. It all starts with breakfast, and a transfer to the park headquarters where the ranger guides explain facts about chimpanzees; trekking dos and don’ts, and the jungle rules. Chimpanzee trekking takes about 1-4 hours, plus an hour to watch and take photos of the forest and the chimps. The uniqueness of this search is that you might encounter other primates in the forest notably the white and black Columbus monkeys, the gray checked monkeys, and more.

After an unforgettable hour with the chimps, you will return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter, visit Bigodi Swamp. At this Ramsar site, primates such as the baboons can be spotted in addition to an interaction with the natives of the area who are the brain behind this community initiative. The board walk is very exciting as ends with an appreciation by the local guide. End this day at the lodge with dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP – Crater Lake Tours.
Brighten your morning with a lip-smacking breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a hike around Kabarole crater lakes and lunch in Fort portal city. 2-3 hours is the journey time to Queen Elizabeth National Park; where you get to arrive and check-in to lodge for refreshment, dinner and a sweet slumber.
Day 7: Game drive and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Start your day with a 3-4 hours’ game drive in the open savannah grassland, with chances of encountering among others; the lions, leopards, herds of elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, different antelope species, crested cranes, geenefowls, and more.

Follow the game drive with bush breakfast and Lunch, and thereafter have an exciting boat cruise at Kazinga channel; taking photos of crocodiles, hippos, different aquatic birds, animals like elephants quenching their thirst on the shores; lush swamps and more. Dinner and overnight at the end of the day.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with a delicious breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park through Ishasha sector where you get to stop with hopes of encountering the tree climbing lions lazily lying at the tree branches. End the evening with a pure relaxation, followed by sunset evening at the lodge for check-in, dinner and sweet slumber.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa People
The day that ends with amazing smiles starts with a satisfying breakfast meal at the lodge. That will be followed with a transfer to the park headquarters for a pretrekking briefing whereby the ranger guides get to explain the trekking dos and don’ts, assign a gorilla family and accompany you on a 1-8 hours’ trekking experience from the area the apes were last spotted to where they could be feeding, through the trekking trail, you may come across among others; some more primates, identify plants and add to the list the caves used as habitat for former hunters and gatherers in the forest.

Upon locating the apes, you need an hour to take photos and watch the giant gentle silverbacks; the mothers feeding their young ones and the young stars playing. After an hour with your relatives, depart the jungle with a smile to your lodge for refreshment. If lunch wasn’t served in the wild, then you will have lunch, followed by cultural interaction with Batwa pygmies; some of the oldest tribes who lived for decades as hunters and gatherers. After session with the Batwa people, call it a day with dinner and a night stay at the lodge.
Day 10: Departure back to Kampala.
After enjoying a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, you will checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Entebbe international airport; with a stopover for lunch, and sight-seeing at the equator where you meet experts demonstrating the effect of the point the line divides the earth between northern and southern hemisphere. You will have some photos and purchase a few souvenirs to remember with the vacation.
